Dr. Jon Spence
Director of the James River Leadership College
Dr. Spence is a 19-year veteran of education. After ten years of teaching and coaching in middle and secondary schools, John spent nine years as a faculty member at Evangel University. He received degrees from Evangel University (Bachelor of Science, 1988), Missouri State University (Master of Science, 1997), and the University of Missouri at Columbia (Doctorate of Education, 2005). His career is marked by teaching experiences, rewarded on several occasions with nominations for "Who's Who Among America's Teachers." In addition, Dr. Spence served as a coordinator for both undergraduate and graduate leadership programs at Evangel University. John and his wife Danica have been married for 14 years and have four children, John Thomas (11 years) Jordan (10 years), Jared (7 years), and Karleigh (3 years).
